Betting and Game Rules

This page sets out the rules that apply when you place a bet or a spin at Hellspin Casino, how each result is settled, and what happens if a game is interrupted. It applies alongside our terms and conditions and the rules built into each game.

General rules that apply to all play

These rules apply to every game in your account with us, on desktop and on mobile. Where a game has its own rules, those rules apply to that game in addition to what is set out here.

  • One account per player. You may hold only one account with us. Play from duplicate accounts may be voided and any winnings from them withheld.
  • 18+ only. Gambling is for adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the identity and age of every account holder.
  • Your account is personal. Do not let anyone else place bets or spins using your login details.
  • Real-money and bonus balances are separate. Where you hold both, a bet draws on the balance shown as active in the cashier at the time it is placed.
  • Bets are final once placed. A stake cannot be cancelled, changed or withdrawn once you have confirmed it, and a round in progress cannot be undone.
  • Stake limits apply. Minimum and maximum stakes are shown in each game and in the limits shown in your account.

Play within your means

You can set deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders and a time-out at any point in the safer gambling area of your account, or ask us for self-exclusion. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop can exclude you from all British licensed online operators at once.

How bets and spins are settled

Every game runs on the game server, not on your device. Your screen displays the outcome of a round; it does not create it.

  1. The result recorded by the game server is the official result of the round and is final for settlement.
  2. Wins are paid under the paytable in the game you are playing, at the stake confirmed for that round.
  3. The in-game rules and paytable take precedence over anything shown elsewhere on the site.
  4. Where the display on your device disagrees with the server record, the server record applies.

Each game shows its theoretical return to player, normally in the help or information screen. That figure is a long-term average across a very large number of rounds and does not predict the result of a single round or session.

Malfunctions and interrupted games

A malfunction is any failure of the software, the game server or the equipment at a live table that stops a round running as the rules of the game provide.

  • A malfunction voids all pays and all play. Where a round is affected, the round is void, the stake for it is returned to your balance and any amount credited in error is corrected.
  • Errors in your favour are corrected as well. If a fault credits your account with an amount you were not entitled to, we adjust the balance and tell you what changed.
  • Known faults must not be exploited. If an account keeps playing a game that is behaving incorrectly in order to profit from it, the affected play may be voided.

If your connection drops

  • An unfinished round is held on the server. When you reopen the game you are returned to the point you left, or the round is settled at its correct result.
  • A win already recorded by the server is credited whether or not you saw it on screen.
  • Your account history in the cashier shows the settled result of every round.

Playing with bonus funds

Bonus funds, free spins and similar credits are governed by the terms of the promotion they came from, as well as by these rules.

  • The bonus terms apply. Wagering requirements, eligible games, expiry periods and withdrawal conditions are those stated in the promotion and shown in your account.
  • A maximum bet applies while wagering is open. Rounds placed above the stake set out in the bonus terms may be void, together with the bonus and anything won from it.
  • Game contributions differ. Games do not all count at the same rate towards wagering and some do not count at all. The contribution rates are published with the bonus terms.
  • Feature purchases. Where a game lets you buy a feature, its availability during bonus play is governed by the bonus terms.

Low-risk or hedged betting to clear a wagering requirement, such as covering opposing outcomes on a table game, is treated as irregular play and may void the bonus and any winnings from it.

Live casino and table games

Live games are dealt by a dealer in a studio and streamed to your device. Each table carries its own rules and limits in the help screen at that table, which apply in addition to these rules.

  • Dealer decisions are final as regards the conduct of the game and the card, number or outcome that results.
  • Late bets are not accepted. A bet must be confirmed before the betting window closes. Chips placed but not confirmed in time are returned.
  • Misdeals and irregularities are handled under the rules of that table, which may void the round and return stakes.
  • Table limits are shown at each table and can differ between tables of the same game.
  • Chat is moderated. Abusive messages, or using a table to disrupt other players, may lead to chat or table access being withdrawn.

Side bets and optional positions pay under the paytable at that table only. If a table is suspended mid-round, affected rounds are settled or voided under the rules of that game.

Questions about a settled round

If you think a round has not settled correctly, get in touch and we will look into it against the server record.

  1. Write to support@casinohellspin.co.uk, or use the live chat on the site.
  2. Give the exact name of the game, including the table name for live games.
  3. Give the date and time of the round, and the time zone you are using.
  4. Include the round reference if the game shows one, and the stake you placed.
  5. Describe what you saw on screen and what you expected to happen.

We check the server log for that round and reply with what it records. Where an error is found, the correction is applied to your balance. Where the record matches the result shown, we explain how the outcome was reached. If you are still unhappy with our answer, our complaints procedure explains how to take the matter further, including to the alternative dispute resolution provider named there.

Keep your own records

Your account history in the cashier lists every stake and result. It is the quickest way to double-check a balance before you contact us, and it is what we look at when you do.
